Coffee varieties

The two varieties of coffee grown on our estates are:

  • Coffee Arabica - (2 varieties: station selection 795 and Station Selections) grown at high altitudes ranging 3,500-4500 ft where the annual rainfall is 200 cms. The washed arabicas of the Giris (Baba-u-budan hills often referred to as the Giris) possess good body, fine acidity and an aromatic bouquet with distinct Mocha flavour.


  • Coffee Robusta - (2 Varieties :CCRI selection 274 &CXR Robustas) grown at a lower altitude of 1,500 - 2,500ft above sea level are known for their golden bold bean with sparkling neutrality and hardly any bitterness.
